Hey everyone, I'm Shifu Huang, a pop singer and music creator from Shanghai, China. I officially started my career in 2019 with my debut album “Ren Jian Bu Zhi De”, and it was a wild ride from the get-go. My duet “Chui Meng Dao Xi Zhou” with Yao Yang blew up with over 300 million streams, making it a breakout gufeng hit—I still can't believe how fast it all happened! Since then, I've dropped more albums, like “Ru Meng Ye & Qing Xing Ji” in 2020, and even scored songs for TV dramas like “Wind Rise in Luoyang”. Touring across twelve cities in 2023 was absolutely exhausting but thrilling, and now in 2024, I've just released my fourth album “Jin Ri Wu Shi”. Music has always been my life, and I'm so pumped to share this journey with you all.

Early Life and Education
I was born and raised in Shanghai, and I've been obsessed with music since I was a kid. I started learning music early on, and it just felt natural to pursue it seriously. I studied at the Shanghai Normal University, majoring in Music Technology, and graduated in 2015 with a degree in Recording Arts. During my uni days, I played the gaohu in the Shanghai Jasmine Folk Orchestra—we even performed at events like the “My Motherland” concert for National Day. It was a grind, but I loved every minute. After that, I went to the UK for my master's in Film and TV Music Composition at the University of Bristol, finishing in 2017. Studying abroad was eye-opening; it totally shaped my sound.
Career Highlights and Releases
2019 was a huge year for me—I debuted as a singer with “Ren Jian Bu Zhi De”, and the response was overwhelming. The duet “Chui Meng Dao Xi Zhou” really took off, which was surreal. In 2020, I released my second album “Ru Meng Ye & Qing Xing Ji”, and I was stoked to be listed as a promising newcomer by NetEase Cloud Music. Fast forward to 2021, I dropped my third album “Cong Qian You Zuo Shan” and sang the ending theme “Xin Nian” for the drama “Wind Rise in Luoyang”. By 2023!—and I recorded the opening song “Wen Dao” for “The Journey of Love and Redemption”. This year, in 2024, I released “Jin Ri Wu Shi” and sang the insert song “Diao Ling” for “The Last Immortal”. It's been a non-stop adventure, and I'm just getting started.
Looking back, I've been part of some amazing events, like the “Victory of Anti-Fascism” concert in Shanghai—it was an honor to contribute. Music isn't just a job for me; it's my way of connecting with the world. Thanks for sticking with me through all the ups and downs!
